GENERAL INFORMATION

The AAfPE 2023 Fall Conference is the optimal place for benchmarking with other institutions and learning new and improved ways to assess program effectiveness. This year's Conference highlights educational sessions, provides rich take-away tools and resources, and opens the floor to exchange information and ideas with other educators in paralegal and legal studies programs.

After much deliberation, the Board determined that holding a multi-modality event was too costly, so only those on site will have access to the Conference sessions.

HOTEL INFORMATION

Renaissance Seattle

515 MADISON ST.
SEATTLE, WA 98104
(206) 583-0300

AAfPE has secured a discounted rate of $229/night + tax (single/double) over the dates of the conference, including complimentary internet in guest rooms (valued at $12.95/day), 20% off overnight self-parking (valued at $45.00/night), and no resort fees. This discounted rate is available until Monday, September 8, 2023, or until the block sells out.

We encourage all participants to reserve a room in the AAfPE block. AAfPE makes every effort to keep the costs of attending the Fall Conference as low as possible, in large part by working hard to negotiate the best hotel rates for everyone attending the conference. In order to secure those rates, AAfPE is required to fill a certain number of hotel rooms — an increasingly difficult task given the rise of discounted-hotel websites and Airbnb. What does it mean for AAfPE when participants book their hotel rooms outside the AAfPE block? When the room block isn't filled, AAfPE faces a loss, incurring financial penalties for rooms that are reserved/contracted but not picked up. When you reserve a room in the AAfPE block, you are helping to support AAfPE not only in 2023, but also future meetings.
